History isn't just about what happened in the past. It shaped the modern world, and we can better understand the world that surrounds us by digging into historical facts.
The history books teach us about important events, wars, revolutions, scientific breakthroughs. We also learn about important historical figures, politicians, philosophers, and scientists.
But history was made by little people. They didn't have anyone to write about them, and they won't be acknowledged for their contribution in any school history book.
That's why it is important to get to know that "lesser-known" history. While nothing can replace good academic material, it's healthy to mix it up with different types of content now and again to rekindle our enthusiasm for the subject.
We'd like to recommend 'Amazing History,' an Instagram account that concentrates on the visuals and posts lesser-known historical images to extend the horizons of its followers. It's the best place to learn about the history that didn't make it into our books.
Here are a few of the nuggets that it has so far shared. We hope you will like them, and we know you will find them extremely interesting.
