Just like how Lego has been a major part of many peoples childhood for many generations, Lego robotics has been an iconic part of their education.
Technology class and robotics clubs are where some of the best educational memories were born. Lego robotics teaches how to program and how to work with gears to build machinery to achieve various tasks. Whilst Lego robotics have built creations like lego cars and claws many parents have been dragged along to their children's competitions where they show how competent they are in this field.
Most parents love seeing their children have fun and enjoy viewing this interesting technology, one parent took to the internet to vent his annoyance. Here is what this parent said and what many people on the internet have said in response.
Here is the thread that started it all.
SourceIt’s a tournament you dead beat. What did you expect.
SourceAs they should. Those kids would have put in hard work and deserve recognition.
SourceThis, ladies and gentlemen is what it looks like when a radio show host from Texas thinks it's a great idea to bully children on Twitter.
SourceSure he did mate. Whatever helps you sleep at night.
SourceYeah, I agree. You don’t.
Go home you unsupportive degenerate of a father.
SourceGood going kid. Hopefully your dad won’t show up.
SourceHere some absolutely brilliant responses
SourceThe kid has a chance of going far and his father rips into him.
I hope he becomes more successful than his father.
SourceYeah, that kid has so many avenues with that kind of technical knowledge.
SourceThis kid will be a prime example
SourceThat’s rough
SourceBetter yet, program the robots to throw one to him.
SourceSounds like the dad is the real let down.
SourceHis son is definitely going to say that from now on.
SourceWhen you spell it out like that he seems more and more like scum.
SourceDon’t know if it owns the libs but it’s definitely a terrible thing to do.
SourceYeah, a truly putrid human being.
SourceToo true. That kid is going to find it eventually.
SourceJesse’s response to the backlash
In response to the backlash, Jesse told Chron.com that the entire thread was a joke and he refused to apologise for his words. “I’ll probably do it again,” he said, “I think it’s hilarious, as does everyone with a sense of humor.”
