Welcome back today to yet another Reddit post that we'll be looking at today, and this one is actually from the relationships thread, which is a favorite of ours to go over because of all the interesting stories and perspectives that are shared there.
The relationship thread is where many people come to get advice on their situation and see what people have to say about what they're going through. With this being said, we are diving into a post today that was submitted by a man who is afraid that his girlfriend will leave him for his best friend.
He explains that all of them are friends and that it's clear that his best friend has a thing for his girlfriend but obviously has never openly admitted it. It's kind of an awkward situation, but people had a lot to say about it in the comments below.
If you're interested in seeing what people had to say about this situation and what the original post had to say, then you'll want to stay tuned as we dive in and give you a full look into the post, plus some of the best comments from people on it as well so you can form your own opinion.
OP's post is pretty long but it starts off with explaining the history with him and his girlfriend and their bestfriend.
u/Neat_Pool5799Then he goes into details on what happened for him to raise concern and just overall how he's feeling now about it,
u/Neat_Pool5799OP then realizes what the truth was, but he still is not convinced and is worried about what may happen in the future.
u/Neat_Pool5799OP gave so much insight into his own mind and how he truly was feeling during this moment which we think is so pure.
u/Neat_Pool5799He ends his post with asking what he should do to deal with this or basically if he should even deal with it at all.
u/Neat_Pool5799For those that didn't want to real the entire longer post with many details, here's the TLDR.
u/Neat_Pool5799This is the top comment that gave OP a bit of advice which was actually to get a therapist.
RandomGuy_81So many people were telling OP that he was having intrusive thoughts and that he just needed to work through them; they're normal.
StarchasmEveryone does have these sorts of thoughts so you really can't blame anyone for thinking this way.
Shortandproud1028There were a lot of comments of people telling OP that therapy is good or that they're just having intrusive thoughts.
Femme0879Not letting things get to you sounds like great advice for OP since there's no substantial problem here.
Krin422Therapy and intrusive thoughts are both common occurrences that we're hearing being talked about here.
topaniaWe really hope that OP takes some of this advice and goes to get a therapist for his issues after everything that's going on. It seems like he is having issues within himself that he needs to address and get help with in order to move on happily.
