But what happens when a baby enters the mix? Cats are known for being particular about their space, their routines, and definitely their humans. So, when a new baby comes home, it's not uncommon for the family cat to give a look that says, “Really, another one?”

Kelly De Alba’s family found themselves in this exact situation when they brought their newborn daughter, Kallie, home. The last thing she expected was for the family’s resident feline, Luna, to play the role of doting elder sibling.

There she was, creeping ever so delicately into Kallie’s crib, settling herself gently beside the sleeping infant, and curling up for a cozy cuddle. It was as if Luna, in her own feline way, had decided that this tiny human was worth her affection after all.
