Kids say the darndest things and sometimes those things happen to be brutally honest observations. When the harsh truth comes from a child it's hard to be mad at them because they haven't exactly developed their filters yet.
Kindergarten and primary school teachers experience the crazy things that kids say firsthand, and more often than the rest of us. One NYC teacher has decided to share some of the most interesting things she has heard from her students over the years.
Teacher Alyssa Cowit believes that "children are honest and curious, and while often perplexed, they’re brilliant – and that it's a teacher's job to take what children say seriously." She values what they have to say and decided it was time to share their wisdom!
Fascinated by the children's phrases and word choice, Cowit teamed up with Greg Dunbar, a digital marketing manager with Walt Disney Studios. Together they created Live from SnackTime to archive the best and brightest kiddie comments.
The project has gained massive popularity and now accepts submissions from around the globe, sharing the quotes with over 630k followers on Instagram. The project aims to show adults that most children are not constantly seeking attention but actually thinking out loud, absorbing new information, and working through problems.

@livefromsnacktimeKids keep us humble
Leave it to children to remind us how to look at the world from a different, more black-and-white point of view. It's easy to get tangled up in the chaos of adulthood but these kids are reminding us that some things are more simple than we make them out to be.
These kids are definitely going places if they keep thinking about things so inquisitively and being honest about their feelings.
