These days it is no secret that Keanu Reeves is beloved to all. Either you don't know who he is or you love the heck out of him, period. (Or I guess the third option is you don't like him but you're wrong, so we're not going to count you or your tomfoolery.) He's the sweetheart of the Internet (AKA The Internet's Boyfriend,) and he is a precious gem to be well-cared for.

Recently, some dude turned to Facebook to brag out the wazoo about meeting Keanu Reeves at a bike show in Maryland where the two gushed over being big Trump supporters. Only problem? It wasn't Keanu Reeves, something that was alarmingly obvious to Twitter users who have pounced to crack some of the best jokes we've seen so far this year.

“Maryland Bike show this past weekend with Keanu. Apparently he restores antique bikes and is a Trump supporter!”

We're not sure who Cheryl Putnam is, but we assume she was the photographer. Did she know this was an imposter Reeves? Or did she know these photos would propel to Internet chaos and was excited? The world may never know.

Nick German turns to Facebook to claim the photo is of him and he is NOT amused.

“Ok – this is insane. Some jerk took my photo last weekend at the Timonium Bike Show and now posting on Instagram that he met Keanu Reeves. Jesus. Really people???? Yes, that is ME on the right. What is wrong with people? And it received IG 250,000 hits. Smh.”

But the funniest part of all of this, other than the sheer absurdity? Keanu Reeves is a bike fan, so maybe the Trump supporter is sincere in his mistake.
