It is common knowledge that parents have a significant role in shaping their children's worldviews and laying the foundations for their religious beliefs. It is only natural for kids to grow up practicing the faith of their parents as we nourish them.
If we truly love and believe in our religion or denomination and are confident that it is true, we tend to "direct" the kids to that belief system. Some will say that our greatest contribution to them will be to transmit our beliefs to them.
A hands-off attitude is irresponsible as there are people who believe that it is the parents' obligation and responsibility to introduce their children to their own religion. As we impart other positive traits, it's natural that we should also teach kids about our faith.
Before kids reach adulthood, they require our "wise" advice, so it's important not to abandon them in a void. A small infant cannot possibly understand religious faith, and in some people's opinion, so many adults fail to recognize that it is wrong to assume that a youngster may value or even require religion.
OP believes that kids do not possess the critical faculties to understand such difficult concepts, so religion shouldn't be pushed on them. Still, the mom of the OP's daughter's friend tried "preaching" to her daughter behind her back, and the OP wasn't having it.
The OP writes

Reddit/Melodic_Swordfish_27"We do not share your beliefs and very much do not want you pushing your beliefs on us"
Reddit/Melodic_Swordfish_27OP's child already knows about Christianity and that they have their beliefs but that we do not share those beliefs
Reddit/Melodic_Swordfish_27OP says she will no longer be letting her child over to Karen's house unsupervised

Reddit/Melodic_Swordfish_27Children lack the resources to make wise decisions, so should kids be coerced into adopting a religion? Making this choice might be challenging for a parent, so if religion is presented to a youngster and imposed upon them, they may reject it or resist it.
But is there anything a youngster is missing out on if Christianity is not introduced to them? Drop your thoughts in the comments section below.
