Move Aside Goldfish. Jellyfish are the New Pet Option and it's Brilliant

For many people, one the most iconic parts of childhood are the pets they had. Options that parents would agree to are normally limited.

Most of the time the options are one or two of the following: a cat, a dog, a fish and/or maybe a reptile of some sort.

That has all changed with the introduction of a new desktop jellyfish aquarium that you can have in your own home called 'Jelly Tank'. This revolutionary pet concept was made possible by two brothers who pitched their idea on Kickstarter.

While the concept was met with some roadblocks, the end result is undeniably brilliant.

Twins Brock and Blake Gratton created The Jelly Tank after buying a more expensive jellyfish tank only to find it to be less than functional.

The twins explain on their Kickstarter, the process of putting together this on of a kind tank.

"After owning the tank for less than three weeks, the tank kept sucking the jellyfish through the grates and shredding them. It was very discouraging considering the tank was not only expensive, but we were killing jellyfish. So feeling defeated by these jellyfish tanks, we set out to design and develop a sustainable tank that would keep our jellyfish happy and healthy."
