Jason Momoa Shares His Financial Struggles After His Character's Untimely Demise On Game Of Thrones

It's easy to imagine Hollywood actors enjoying glamorous lives filled with the luxuries we can only dream of. From the outside looking in, they seem immune to the mundane struggles that most of us go through.

It's not a giant leap to believe that they probably never worry about their bills because they all get paid an insane amount of money. However, long before they've become the household names we know and love, they had their own fair share of rejections and misfortunes.

We just never really hear much about those years. The stories we hear are CliffsNotes about their initial move to LA, couch surfing, and getting day jobs while auditioning for every role they can find until they finally catch their big break.

From that point on, it should all be uphill, but as Jason Momoa shared, there are more pitfalls than what the public knows. Before he ruled Atlantis and joined the Justice League, the actor was most known for his portrayal of the fearsome Khal Drogo.

Although his role as Daenerys Targaryen's husband only lasted for a season, Momoa was definitely memorable. The worldwide popularity of the show meant that Momoa's Hollywood career was about to reach new stratospheres, or so most of us thought.

In one interview, he talked about the financial struggles he and his family faced post- Game of Thrones

While deaths are not unusual in that world, it meant another problem entirely for the actor

How would they pay their bill. Roles weren't exactly falling on his lap just yet.

No roles meant no income in Hollywood which is not an ideal situation to be in for someone who has two kids to support

His role in Thrones ended in 2011 and it wasn't until 2016 when the actor's luck changed

By 2016, the actor landed a gig being pals with other DC Superheroes

He played Aquaman in the ensemble movie before reprising his role for a stand-alone film

It was clear that Jason Momoa wasn't going anywhere

He has made his mark in the entertainment industry and around meme circles thanks to his red carpet antics

The actor has since done more than just save the world and live underwater

He is expected to appear in the latest installment of the Fast and the Furious franchise

It was a long road for Jason Momoa, but fate favored him eventually. He could have easily given up when he was boxed into what kind of characters he can play which severely limited what jobs he could try out for.

Fortunately, the actor didn't give up and his fans are ever grateful for it. No longer struggling to pay his bills, Jason Momoa is here to stick around for the long haul.
