Alexei Surovtsev is a household name in his home country, Ukraine. Over the years, he has gained a large following as an actor, striptease champion, and performer on his country's Dancing With The Stars.

However, Surovtsev's most significant role to date has been that of a heroic figure.

His attempts to rescue trapped pets from the warzones of his homeland have earned him the moniker "Cat Saviour of Irpin." Tho Surovtsev is more appropriately known as the "Pet Savior" since he also rescues dogs and other animals in distress.

In an Instagram video, you can see him posing with a pair of chinchillas that he helped rescue from the city's ruins.

The devoted animal lover frequently ventures into Irpin's most dangerous regions, returning with 20 to 30 animals per day, most of which have been abandoned by their fleeing owners. In some instances, some are reunited with their families or handed to friends who can keep them safe.

Surovtsev's social media posts also show him caring for numerous animals in his own house, where he provides food, water, and a great deal of tender loving care (TLC). Others are taken to the ASTI clinic, which he refers to in his posts as a place where animals in need of medical attention and temporary shelter are kept.

Surovtsev explained that;

Despite the fact that many people are returning to their homes, there are still many animals on the street. We feed and water everyone. Within a week, additional rooms of the shelter in the ASTI clinic will be ready and we will be able to place even more animals there.

According to him, an online platform will be created to showcase available pets for adoption, adding that;

The tailed ones are very much waiting for you and very much hope that one day they will find a family again.

Simply looking through some of Surovtsev's most recent video updates will give a clearer picture of how valiant his efforts are. In one footage, he enters a burning building and rescues a litter of vulnerable kittens.

In another video, the sound of gunfire can be heard in the background as Surovtsev searches among the wreckage of his cherished city for its most helpless victims. According to the post, this is something he does every day.

Yes, it’s dangerous! Yes, it’s hard! Yes, scary! But when you see these frightened, devoted eyes, you realize that it is not in vain.

As stated by Global Happenings, Surovtsev has been crowned a three-time striptease champion and was voted the top Ukrainian stripper in 2007. Additionally, he has starred in Ukraine's Dancing with the Stars and a tv program called Sled.

It's heartwarming to see celebrities like Alexei Surovtsev putting themselves on the line to help animals in need. With his work, he is providing much-needed hope for the future of both people and animals in a region that has seen so much bloodshed.
