Redditor Tells Her BF She Has "No Sympathy" For Him Because He Dismisses Her Illness As Attention Seeking

Finding the right life partner is no easy task; people change or pretend to be something they are not, so you can never be confident that they're "the one." Many discover shocking things about their partners years into the relationship; some things need more time to become evident.

Love can sometimes blind you and force you to see your partner through rose-colored glasses, but the truth eventually ends up imposing itself and forcing you to make tough decisions. Being in love can sometimes mean that you will have many things you are in denial about, but as that love fades away, they become impossible to ignore. 

A Redditor who later deleted her account made a post on the r/AmItheA**hole subReddit where she explained how she ended up telling her boyfriend that she had no sympathy for him. The user's boyfriend previously ignored her pain when she was sick and even accused her of pretending, so Op gave him a taste of his own medicine.

Neck pains are not as painful as what OP goes through.

It sounds like OP and her BF are stuck together.

OP only mirrored his behavior, and he got upset.

OP should definitely reconsider this "relationship" and surround herself with sympathetic people who acknowledge her pain and suffering. The boyfriend is not 'partner material' and should be aware of it.
