Did you have grand plans for 2020? I did - I turned 30 in June and I planned to SERIOUSLY party both at home and then ideally in Croatia, Italy and later in the year, Mexico!

Instead, I spent the 8 weeks leading up to my 30th Birthday in lock-down, not even allowed within 200km of my family. Then, a week before my birthday, restrictions lifted and I was allowed 24 guests in a restaurant.

Thankfully, this meant I could celebrate (a little) but it absolutely wasn't the year I thought it would be. Not a huge party, no vacations, just a humble celebration.

While all I missed out on was a big birthday party, other people missed even more serious stuff. Weddings, funerals, graduations, the births of loved-one's babies... the list goes on.
