Steve Irwin's Son Re-Creates Iconic Photograph With The Exact Same Crocodile 15 Years Later

Steve Irwin, also known as "The Crocodile Hunter," was one of the world's most beloved television personalities. He lived and died for and with animals. His experiences and work touched literally countless lives and inspired humankind in ways virtually unparalleled. He is held in the highest of regards, along side the likes of Mr. Rogers and Bob Ross.

His tragic death in 2006 left a hole in the hearts of people across the globe but for the last few years, his children Bindi and Robert have been working to fill that hole and quite frankly, they've been totally nailing it. In fact, it's easy to assume Steve would be incredibly proud of his children.

The globally renowned conservationist and TV personality is survived by his wife, Terri, and his two children Robert and Bindi.

The caption read, "Dad and me feeding Murray... same place, same croc — two photos 15 years apart" with a heart and an emoji of a crocodile.

Steve Irwin considered conservation to be the most important part of his work, saying once, "I consider myself a wildlife warrior. My mission is to save the world's endangered species."

It would appear that despite the tragic loss of Steve's life, his mission lives through his children. On World Reptile and Amphibian Awareness Day, Robert said:

Since I can remember I’ve always had a deep fascination for all animals, but especially reptiles. Reptiles and amphibians hold an important place in the natural world, with amphibians in particular being an environmental indicator species, and are unfortunately usually the first to feel the effects of pollution, climate change and other pressures. It’s important to be aware of the significance of these beautiful animals!

It would appear that fans and admirers of the Irwin family agree with that sentiment, one telling Robert: "Can't begin to imagine ho proud he would be, Robert."

But honestly, I think we can all indeed imagine it would be very, very proud.
