Research Shows That Husbands Stress Their Wives Out Far More Than Their Children

Who is more stressful? It's a tough call between your husband and your children. Between the not listening, the backtalking, and the laziness, it can be anyone's race. In a survey conducted by Today, almost half of all mothers surveyed (over 7,000) answered that their husbands caused them far more stress than their children did. Also, according to the University of Padova, in most cases when a wife loses her husband, she tends to become healthier over time, showing improvement in dealing with her stress levels. While this cause is unknown, they speculated that this might be because husbands rely more heavily on their wives than the other way around.

Researchers have found that 75% of the female participants stated that they performed most of the parenting and household duties in the family, and that lack of help was the most significant source of daily stress from their husband.

1 in every 5 mothers surveyed said lack of help was the main cause of stress in their daily lives.
