Everyone needs some alone time, whether for their work, hobbies, thoughts or just to relax in a warm bath. So, it's not rude and wrong to want some privacy in your home.
No one wants to feel overcrowded or uncomfortable in his own house. Presumably, everyone likes to host guests and to be someone's guest, it's nice to be surrounded by your beloved ones.
But some visitors, whether friends or relatives, tend to overstay their welcome, and polite reminders may not always be effective for them. One Redditor revealed how her husband's family visited them continually after the lockdowns were over.
She felt trapped in a never-ending cycle of hosting people, cleaning up after them, and hardly getting any time, even space for herself. She finally had enough and decided to take control of the situation.
She made an office/game room from one of the guestrooms. That indicated that some of her in-laws would no longer be able to stay with them and would need to rent a hotel room instead.
Her husband, though, wasn't excited about her idea when he found out what she did. He believed it was a rude move that had crossed a line.
