Cloning Milestone: New Monkey Species Raises Ethical Questions

The difference between what cats and humans see is really astonishing.
This fascinating series was created by artist and researcher, Nickolay Lamm. He compared the way humans and cats see the world.
In each comparison, there's a scene appearing in two ways. The top image is more colorful and lively and it shows what humans see while on the bottom is a bleak and blurry image from a cat's perspective.
Lamm did extensive research to create this project in a collaboration with doctors from the All Animal Eye Clinic, The Ophthalmology Group at the University of Pennsylvania Veterinarian school, and The Animal Eye Institute. He wanted to make sure his depiction of the feline sight is as accurate as possible.
Lamm had learned a lot from his research like the fact that cats see 6-8 times better than humans do at night, they have a slightly bigger visual field, and their visual acuity is between 20/100 to 20/200 while the ideal is 20/20. Even though cats can't really enjoy a beautiful panoramic sight, the series really shows that both cats and humans have a vision that was made for survival and function.
