Drawing inspiration from his childhood fascination with monster movies, drawing, and cartoons, Chiechi noticed a subtle creepiness lingering beneath the surface of these seemingly innocent animations.

Thus, he embarked on a chilling journey to elevate the spookiness factor by integrating some of his favorite horror characters into the vintage 1930s Mickey Mouse cartoons. Through his series of black and white illustrations, iconic horror figures like Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, and Jason Voorhees make haunting cameos alongside the beloved Disney characters.

Reflecting on the genesis of his fanart, Chiechi shares, "Well, I just remember watching the old Disney cartoons when I was a kid and finding them to be pretty spooky.

Even when it was completely unintentional! Now, as an animator and a lover of horror, I figured it was only natural to mix them with my favorite horror icons! To me, they really don’t seem THAT out of place next to Mickey and Minnie!"
