Homeowner Complies Maliciously With HOA Restrictions On The Limited Number Of Cars Allowed In The Driveway

There are so many who don't own a home, but if they should get one, they won't be residing in a community with an HOA. Theoretically, an HOA should function, but all too often it causes issues for some homeowners.
The issue is that the people in charge of them occasionally overstep their authority and cause worse problems than what they were originally intended to address. In a community that chooses to be governed, homeowner associations (HOAs) are the organizations in charge of enforcing the regulations for living there.
They are typical in planned subdivisions, and when you close on a property in a neighborhood with a HOA, you enlist in them and accept their rules and fees. The covenants, conditions, and restrictions (CC&Rs) of the association are a condition of home ownership, also known as membership.
The associations can also take legal action against you if you break the regulations, including filing a lawsuit, putting a lien on your house, and paying fines. When the HOA restricted the number of vehicles that may park in a driveway, a certain Redditor lost it.
Some people believe that this may have gone too far, but this is what happens when you mess with the wrong homeowner on the right day. Read all that transpired as you keep scrolling down.

elwood_911No one loves to be belittled, especially when it comes to their own property. Just because you’re in a position to make the rules doesn’t mean you can just enforce any sudden rule you wish.
The OP made sure to maliciously comply with the said rule, which turned things around eventually. Do drop your thoughts about this story in the comments below.
