Created in 2007, Tumblr is a "microblogging" and social networking website where users can post multimedia and other content to a short-form blog and follow each other, sharing content along the way. Over the years Tumblr has become well-known for a variety of things from being an ideal platform to share and discuss social justice issues, to a safe haven for more controversial interests like fandoms, drugs, and pornography (though in December of 2018 Tumblr purged the porn,) and most certainly a great place to have a bit of fun.

One of our favorite past-times on Tumblr from 2007 and into today is photos and stories of cats. With the majority of Tumblr users having the propensity to be sarcastic and silly, it should surprise no one that Tumblr consistently offers us some of the best and most hilarious cat content on the Internet today.
