Henry marked the beginning of Cynthia and Andre's adoption journey, and it turned out to be their best decision yet. At an adoption event in Colorado, they originally planned to meet a different puppy, but he had already found a home. Luckily, this led them to encounter Henry, who stole their hearts right away. When Cynthia approached Henry's pen, he eagerly climbed into her lap and exposed his belly, showing his trust and affection. Both Cynthia and Andre knew immediately that Henry was the perfect addition to their family. Reflecting on the moment, Cynthia shared, "I never imagined that every time we went to adopt a pet, we'd end up bringing home the one that melted my heart by showing his belly."

Then came Baloo. Feeling that Henry needed a buddy, Cynthia and Andre thought about getting a cat, especially one who was adventurous. When Cynthia met little Baloo at a sanctuary in Evergreen, Colorado, he seemed to be everything they wanted in a pet: playful, sweet, and confident. Just like Henry, Baloo also showed his affection by exposing his belly, which melted Cynthia's heart instantly. When Cynthia went to finalize Baloo's adoption paperwork, he eagerly waited for her, pressing against the glass door of his room. "I feel like we picked each other in that moment, and it's a memory I'll always hold dear," Cynthia shared. From the very beginning, Henry and Baloo became the best of friends, forming a strong bond within just a couple of hours of meeting each other. It was truly a perfect match!

A few years ago, Henry was diagnosed with cancer, and sadly, he didn't make it. Cynthia and Andre were left devastated by his loss, a pain that still affects them deeply. Baloo, understandably, struggled with Henry's absence. He stopped eating and seemed really sad. In an attempt to help Baloo feel better, they decided to find him a new furry friend.

That's when they met Pan. When Baloo met Pan for the first time, Pan showed the same friendly belly-up gesture that had won their hearts before. He even gave Baloo a loving kiss. For Cynthia and Andre, it was a clear sign that Pan was meant to be part of their family. "We knew right away, and that same night we brought Pancake home, Baloo started eating again. Adopting Pan saved our family, and he's been helping us heal ever since."
