Husband Adopts Cats From His Mother After She Had A Health Scare, Wife Kicks Them Out Of The House
"They were meant to be indoor cats, but they’re used to being outside"

Currently, cats are having a moment. The desire for more cat-related content will probably keep growing, given the appeal of TikTok videos, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
But then, there are people who don't really fancy cats. They believe cats dislike them—you, me, and everyone else.
They hardly tolerate people, and while some people might find it endearing in an animal, these people tend to prefer the straightforward, sincere affection and consideration of a dog. And that's before we even include the litter box or the ones that poo in the corner.
Urgh!!! Who would want one of those in their kitchen, really? Well, certainly not the OP in today's AITA story.
The OP's not a cat person like she doesn't actively dislike cats. But she doesn't think her life would be empty without them.
And before I forget to mention, she's actually more of a dog person, and she has two German shepherds. The OP's mother-in-law had a health scare and begged the OP's husband to take in the cats, and they did.
The OP had a lot of issues with the cats, including the fact that they don’t use their litter tray, and they couldn’t risk them ruining their new flooring. The OP got her sister's husband to build a cattery, and it’s essentially a warm shed with space for them to exercise, but her husband and MIL were unhappy about it.
The OP writes

The cats, aren’t people cats, like they prefer to be on their own

The OP has had to clean up the remains of several birds and mice

I’ve come up with solutions like them being only able to go into the living room

They will rush past the OP's feet or other peoples feet coming in and out

When a non-cat person comes in contact with a cat, some might become anxious. You wonder if it will scratch you or not, where it will sit, and where it will go.
It's shocking how dominant they are. and destroy your home with scratches and hair all over the place. The OP faced such a situation, but Redditors passed the AH verdict on her.
