Being a singer and being in a band is actually more stressful than you might think it is. Many people look at these band members and think they are living the life because they are making money while essentially just doing something fun.

The frontman of Jane’s Addiction, Perry Farrell, was the one behind the punch and decided in the middle of a performance to punch his bandmate. Fans were absolutely shocked at the events that happened on the stage and they were confused as to why this happened.

He punched his bandmate Dave Navarro, and soon after this, people came backstage to hold him back before things escalated even further. There have been multiple theories across social media as to why the lead singer decided to punch his bandmate on stage.

Reports from the show say that Farrell was shouting at the band ate during their song “Mountain Song.” They stated that he go visibly frustrated with the guitarist during “Ocean Size” and ended up shoulder-barging him before taking a swing.

This footage shows exactly what happened on stage before and during the events that happened. Etsy Lau took it upon herself to speak out about her husband’s actions and clear the air before fans took what happened the wrong way.

She started her caption with, “Rather than speculating, I thought to post a first-person account of what happened on stage.”

“Clearly there had been a lot of tension and animosity between the members. The magic that made the band so dynamic. Well, the dynamite was lit. Perry got up in Dave’s face and body-checked him."

She continued to say that his frustration was mounting the whole time during the performances. “He felt that the stage volume had been extremely loud and his voice was being drowned out by the band. Perry had been suffering from tinnitus and a sore throat every night.”

But when the audience in the first row started complaining up to Perry, cussing at him that the band was planning too loud and that they couldn’t hear him, Perry lost it."

We can totally understand his frustration during this time and maybe some communication could have definitely helped.

His wife went into more detail of what happened after this event happened and what exactly took place backstage. She goes on to explain exactly what happened and it’s said that the band was able to get through eleven songs before the show abruptly ended.

This was an interesting turn of events, and we are quite interested in hearing what may happen to the band following these events. We can’t imagine that they would be on good terms, and the fans seem to think that this could even result in the band breaking up.
