Entitled Bride And Groom Harass His Sister After She Abruptly Left An Invitation Addressing Party Where She Found Out She's Not Even Invited To The Wedding
She threw multiple parties for her future sister-in-law and her family, but she's not good enough to be a guest at the wedding

"They deserve each other" is all I can think about after reading this post about a bride and groom. They are equally entitled individuals who couldn't be more perfect for each other.
The OP of this story is the groom's older sister. OP and her brother Jerry have a close relationship.
They are just two of the nine adult siblings in a large and very dysfunctional family, according to OP. 21-year-old Jerry recently got engaged to his girlfriend, Jessica.
OP has been attempting to build a friendship with her brother's fiancée to no avail. Jessica doesn't seem to be interested in having a relationship with OP.
OP remained undeterred and hosted a getting-to-know-you party to introduce the women from both sides of the family. OP even took Jessica's family to lunch and dinner several times to welcome them.
She also co-hosted a bridal shower for her future sister-in-law. She has been supportive of their wedding planning every step of the way and refused to participate in any drama caused by both sets of parents.
OP didn't dwell on her feelings when Jerry informed her she wouldn't be a part of their wedding parties. She didn't complain and even reassured Jerry that it was their wedding to do with as they pleased.
One weekend, OP got a last-minute invite from Jessica to attend an invitation addressing party. She was also asked to bring dessert.

OP was ticked off by the last-minute invite to a pre-planned party, but went to the party with freshly baked cupcakes.

OP was handed a stack of announcements and gift registry cards meant for people who aren't invited to the wedding. OP's name was on that list. She will not be a guest to her brother's wedding.

OP didn't make a scene. She left without speaking to anyone and brought the cupcakes with her. Jerry sent her admonishing messages about her rude behavior.

The couple went to OP's house the following day and a neighbor called the cops on them. They went to OP's place of work the day after that and pulled her from a meeting to demand an apology.

OP added that she wasn't chosen as a bridesmaid because she would be the only unmarried woman in the bridal party. She wasn't invited to the wedding because Jessica felt insulted when OP hosted a party for her and her family at her apartment instead of an upscale venue.

The irony is, they want OP to apologize for being rude, entitled, selfish, and spoiled

OP eventually found out that the duo are telling lies about her to make themselves look better. OP is correcting the narrative starting with her oldest brother's wife.

The delusion of expecting OP to treat them with courtesy when they couldn't even show her any kindness is disgusting

On top of that, they want her help to mail out gift registry cards to people who weren't invited which includes herself. Oh, don't forget she has to bake cupcakes to bring to a party she was a last-minute guest to.

How long has OP been enduring their mistreatment of her for them to think that what they did was even remotely acceptable?

Not once did they consider her feelings. OP is a much kinder person than most for only walking out with the cupcakes at that party.

These aren't the kind of people you want in your life. They take what they can from you and bleed you dry. Can you rely on them when the need arises? Hell no!

Jerry and Jessica truly deserve each other

OP can use the money she was planning on spending on their gift for herself

Losing Jessica and Jerry in her life will benefit OP in the long run

Their drama-filled life will no longer include OP. They don't deserve her help or affection.

With family members like Jerry & Jessica, who needs enemies? OP will notice an improvement in her life and mental health once she distances herself from the people giving her a hard time over this.
They treated her horribly at every turn and expected her to take it all with a smile. OP will truly be better off without Jessica's and Jerry's baggage holding her back.
