Guy Turns To Reddit After Setting Up A Glitter Trap For His Snooping Mother-In-Law
Some would say that she got what she deserves.

Humans are naturally curious about everything surrounding them and we especially see that in kids who are constantly asking questions about everything they see or experience.
This curiosity is great but it's important to limit our curiosity when it comes to the lives of other people because snooping around on someone else's things is a terrible invasion of privacy.
Children don't have a sense of privacy but it's something that you learn about when you grow up, and even though adults know all about privacy, it doesn't stop some of them from invading other people's privacy because of their curiosity.
This Reddit user was having issues with someone who's just like this, not respecting her privacy at all, so she had the brilliant idea to set up a trap for the snooping mother-in-law.
Whenever OP's in-laws visited their house, the mother-in-law would always end up snooping around in their bedroom and then claiming that she just couldn't find the bathroom so she decided to use the one in their bedroom.
OP was sick and tired of this but her husband just told her that she was overreacting to it, but they still ended up getting a lock on the bedroom door.
When the in-laws came over again for the holidays, OP had a plan to finally get some evidence of what she was doing and confront her in front of everyone. She decided to put glitter on the doorknob of their bedroom and if she decided to go snooping even further, then there would be a little folder of glitter waiting for her on the office door that would cover her in glitter if she walked in.
As expected, the mother-in-law strolled into the office instead of the bathroom and she got completely covered in glitter, and after a screaming match with the wife, OP's husband said that she went overboard with the idea. She decided to turn to Reddit to figure out who's in the wrong here so scroll down if you want to see the verdict by the people of Reddit.
OP's mother-in-law loves to snoop around the house, and it was so serious that they decided to get locks on the bedroom door.

The locks didn't stop the MIL from at least trying to get those doors open.

Her husband didn't want to lock the doors because he believed she wouldn't go snooping, but OP had another idea.

She decided to set up a couple of traps that would embarrass the snooping MIL.

The MIL was furious after getting caught in the act and the husband sided with her.

OP provided us with some updates after the thread went viral.

There's more than one issue here.

If only there was a video of this.

The clean up after was worth it, for sure.

Glitter room.

So, what do you think? Nobody likes people who snoop around and invade your privacy especially when it's in your own home, but it seems like the husband doesn't mind it that much.
Do you think that the trap OP set up for the MIL was doing too much or did the punishment fit the crime?
