We are back again today with yet another amazing AITA thread post from Reddit that we'll be looking into today. These posts are always so exciting, and they usually get a lot of traction on them as well in the comments.
So with this being said, today's post was submitted by a girl who came to Reddit to see if she was in the wrong for blasting her mom on Facebook for getting her fired from her job. Basically, the girl got a job, and her mom was never very supportive of it but decided to show up to her job often.
This eventually upset the manager, which led him to fire OP because of her mom coming to visit so much. Ultimately, this is when OP decided to take it to Facebook and told her family members that her mom had gotten her fired.
So we wanted to give you the full rundown today on this story because if you've been fired, then you know how much it sucks, especially if you loved the job or it was seemingly because of something else. Let's dive one and check out the full post to see what happened and what people had to say about it.
OP starts off by explaining to us that she got her first job, but that her mom hates it and basically was harassing her about it.
u/SubstantialSize1928Ultimately, it ended up getting her fired because her boss just wasn't putting up with the helicopter mom situation anymore.
u/SubstantialSize1928She said that people are saying she's wrong for blasting her mom on Facebook about it, but she feels like she's in the right for showing her mom who she truly is.
u/SubstantialSize1928People came to the comments to let her know that she's not in the wrong here and that she should've documented and reported all of this.
ElioseEvansPeople thought that the mom was acting wild for doing this to her daughter and she really should have laid off a little bit.
Background-Aioli4709Some people found this story a little amusing because of OP getting her revenge back on her mom after all of this.
RedditPeople didn't seem to all be on the same page and some people think that the mom was just doing what was "best" for OP but obviously not by getting her fired.
JhilixieThis is true too. Her mom did start it technically and so it's only fair that she get a taste of her own medicine.
ChiisaiHobbitSome people tried giving her advice on how she should proceed because of her getting fired, but she doesn't have much wiggle room where she is.
rhancockThis comment actually suggested her to get a restraining order on her mom after this because it's ground for one based on how she was acting.
spiteful_rr_dm_TAWe feel like OP has the right to say exactly what she said, and we feel so bad that her job was taken away from her because of her mom. Hopefully, she'll take some of the advice given here and run with it so she can get things done.
