Tattooing is an art as old as humanity itself. People have been inscribing with ink on their skin for thousands of years. Up until fairly recently (in the cosmic scheme of things) they have been for deeply cultural significance whether that be a status symbol or a coming of age within your tribe or family.

More recently though, tattoos have taken on more of a fashion and art sort of direction. This means that people express themselves with their body art, both in very small and simply ways or by completely altering their bodies.

This is a list of 10 artists who have dabbled in further experimentation with their art - with tattoos that are more than they seem at first glance.
