Redditor Forgets To Share Father's Funeral Details With His Colleagues, Gets Called Out For Being Insensitive

When someone passes away in your life, there are a lot of different things that you need to take care of, and many don't understand the extensive process of even planning a funeral. So on top of the emotions, all the to-dos, and having your normal life at home, it can be a lot.

This Redditor felt the effects of this after they lost their dad, and they were dealing with all of the aftermath things. This person came to Reddit to see if they were wrong for forgetting to follow up with their dad's colleagues about funeral plans after his passing.

OP explains in detail why they forgot and just overall how the colleagues had a high chance of seeing the info even if OP didn't tell them. This isn't a crazy story; it's more laid back, but sometimes it's nice to go over those in the midst of all the craziness that's usually on the internet.

If you're interested in hearing more about this situation and seeing what people had to say in the comments section below, then you'll want to check out this full post, as we're going to give you all the details. Let's hop in and check out the original post so we can form our own opinion on OP's situation.

The obituary was online which means they could have checked but OP said he'd follow up.

It's definitely a rough time for everyone, we can agree with that. We don't think OP's really in the wrong.

It could be looked at this way too and we could say both of them are in the wrong for what they did.

This is very true that most of us would try to actively find information on the funeral service or any other information.

People offered their condolences to them because we all know that losing someone is hard.

This is also something to consider too is that they are just colleagues, not close family or anything.

We feel like OP isn't really in the wrong for this because we know that it's hard when you lose someone. However, the colleagues should definitely have taken the initiative to look up the information themselves if they were concerned about it.

What do you think about this situation?
