Choosy Beggar Wants Someone To Cat-Sit For Two Weeks In Exchange To Stay In Her Nice Place For Free, Gets Mixed Reactions Online

Yes, we love cats, and we want to get as many as we can, but then, we have to think about the costs. As much as we want to have a pet to welcome us whenever we are home, we ought to think about how to take care of them when we're not around.

Consider the costs associated with cat ownership, whether you're just starting your search for a pet, visiting shelters, or preparing to welcome your new furry friend. To guarantee their cherished four-legged friends the finest quality of life possible, every pet owner has to set aside a certain amount of money.

These expenses may cover regular vet visits, food, litter, toys, grooming supplies, and other recurring charges in addition to the adoption or purchase prices. For the sake of your cat's health, you must make sure they receive the recommended medical care, including exams, vaccinations, and prophylactic treatments.

Those who don't give this much thought typically give up on their cats by leaving them or turning them in at overcrowded shelters. Be not like this picky beggar who wants someone to look after their cat and house for two whole weeks without payment.

Apparently, you'll be staying in their house for free, which is more than enough payment. Of course, the post got a deserving reply, and you can check it out below.

From a Redditor who's guilty of the same thing

Strangely enough this is exactly what I used to do. I had a beautiful big double storey house on a golf course that was 1km from the beach in Cape Town, South Africa I would let people know that I was going away and needed someone to look after my dogs. I had people fighting for the chance to stay in my place at no cost. But I was very lucky to have that house and that was the only reason people agreed, if you live in a tiny apartment I don't think people would be so willing.

There's more to being a caring pet parent than merely showing love and devotion. Like any other pet, cats need regular exercise to be happy and healthy, and you need to set funds aside to take care of your cat when you're not around.
