The concept of a first date is pretty simple: light conversation, casual banter, and a kiss on the cheek if you’re lucky. Hopefully, it ends with no one jumping out through a window to escape.
Yet, it comes with some suspense because there’s the massive question of whether there will be a second date.
First dates can also be quite awkward, and this is why many people get very excited when they manage to get through their dates with smiles.
If you did a quick poll on the internet to ask about people’s first date experiences, you’d find terrible stories that will make you laugh for days.
These dates can differ in style. For some people, the first date is the time to go all out and try to impress your date. While for others, it’s simply a meet-up to see how things will progress in the future.
Some people, for example, have specific criteria they expect their potential partners to meet up with on a first date. We found one such person on TikTok.

The date
A man, luckyyyyluciano1, on TikTok, shared a video of a conversation between him and a woman while they were on their first date at Applebee’s. In the video, the woman complains about him taking her to a cheap restaurant.
An agreement of some sort
The woman states that she would not entertain another date at Applebee’s. She says, “And I know you just took me to Applebee’s, like I get it; maybe you don’t want to take me to the fanciest place on our first date but never again are you gonna take me here.”
OP assures them that he wouldn’t be bringing her to an Applebee’s again.
"I'm happy going to Jack in the box and sitting at a park or something."
"These little girls. My goodness."
The cat’s out of the bag.
In another video, OP provides an update to the original post. He shares that the lady saw the video on TikTok and has since refused to go on a second date with him.
In her words, “Well I don’t care really, I just think it wasn’t cool for you to post a 1 minutes [sic] video of me where people are judging my character without knowing the full story or hearing the rest of what I said. You aren’t a gentleman I see. I doubt I’ll ever give you a second date.”
This user believes that spending too much on the first date is never a good idea
Lol...Funny bunch
Incase you find yourself in OP's situation, this could be a nice escape.
Say 'Hi' if you don't mind going on a date to MacDonnalds
Many commenters have a bone to pick with this Tiktoker’s date. They even advised him not to see her again, which is just as well since she also doesn’t want to see him.
Other commenters found it difficult to understand why the venue was such a big deal to the lady. They stated that if they liked someone, the meeting point wouldn’t matter as long as it was decent.
