For some people, comic books are not there to entertain them but inspire them and fuel their imagination. Julio Suarez, a young artist from Mexico, is one of those people.
He not only enjoys comic books but draws energy from them. It’s what made him start drawing and re-imagining popular characters. His talent enabled him to work for companies such as Upperdeck Ent. and Cryptozoic Ent.
After doing freelance illustration work the last two years, he is now starting to draw his characters for the comic book “The Twin Blades,” a fantasy story that combines science, Aztec mythology, and family bonds.
His favorite Disney movie is Hercules, and “Go the Distance” is his personal oath: “this movie has always been there for me, it’s more than just a film, it’s one of my biggest influences, so yeah, thank you Herc.”

ultimatejulioJulio's favorite comic book character is Spiderman. He is the one that made his start drawing in the first place.
"Even if I wanted to, I couldn't count the times I've drawn Spiderman. I bring the character in DNA since childhood, so many comics, games, and figures. This is not a passion only; this is already my life.
He is my ultimate goal. Everything I do, every learning, every work, every drawing, is to improve and be good enough to officially draw it one day, to draw it for the rest of my life.
Because I want that to be my job, I crave it more than anything in the world, and I will continue to give my everything, every day, until I get it, and even after.
Spider-man means more to me than he could express in a post, not only is it because of the great character we read in comics or see in his series or movies, to me, it means a purpose of life, a goal, so that thank you Spidey, for existing, and for giving me a reason to."
