Woman Tricks Her Entire Family With Fake Positive Pregnancy Test To Prove A Point, Angers Her Husband

Marriage is not just about the relationship between a couple. It also involves other family members.

Vacations and holidays may already be more family time than most people can handle. It gets even worse when you have to spend more time with family sometimes because family time can cause conflict.

Sometimes, things get a little messy with other family members, especially when it involves living together.

The problems that can arise from living with extended or nuclear families are endless. From lack of privacy to entitlement and even emotional abuse, there are many stories of poor living conditions with families everywhere. 

Sometimes, the presence of these family members even causes more rifts for the couple. 

However, it’s not always bad. Some family members are blessings to a couple. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that this is the case with this woman we found on the AITA community on Reddit. 

OP shared that her mother-in-law had recently started living with her and her husband. Since she moved in, OP began noticing that things were moving around in their bedroom.

She complained about the changes to her husband, knowing he wasn’t behind them. However, her husband said he didn’t believe his mother was at fault.

To catch her MIL snooping around her personal items, OP hatched a sinister plan to throw a fake pregnancy test in the bedroom trash can. Sure enough, her MIL snooped and told everyone she was expecting.

While OP was glad to prove her point finally, her husband and his family were upset, leading her to ask the critical question on the AITA subreddit.

The story in detail

OP explained that after her MIL moved in with them, stuff in the bedroom started moving from their original spots

OP suspected that her MIL was behind this, but her husband was adamant that it wasn't his mother

OP deviced a planned which involved using a fake positive pregnancy test to catch the culprit

The next day, OP and her husband were able to piece the puzzle together, revealing that MIL was the one snooping around. However, tricking the entire family that she was pregnant wasn't something that OP's husband was happy about
