Each of these dresses is certainly a unique piece of art
French designer Sylvie Facon makes unique items that are unlike anything else. The artist has created a distinctive look that is distinguished by lace, guipure, tulle, and muslin by combining her talent for painting, needlework, and textile design.
Each of her costumes is a unique piece of art, combining textile designs, draped effects, embroidery threads, splashes of paint, and pearl shards to convey a tale. Facon draws inspiration for her creations from the natural world, including plants and flowers, as well as from Pre-Raphaelite art and the fantastical worlds of stories.
Lace, Sylvie's go-to material, serves as the foundation of all of her designs because it has so many applications and enables her to experiment with various hues, textures, and forms. The combination of the background tulle's transparency, the patterns' dullness, and the fabric's lightness results in intricate, delicate motifs that seem to have been plucked right out of a fairy tale.
Sylvie says that in reality, "it is not fashion that interests me: the dress as it is designed is just a support for the creation, like a painter's canvas, on which I can express myself. My dresses are not ‘à la mode’: they are timeless. Besides, fashion doesn't interest me.”
Whether you enjoy art or fashion, Sylvie Facon's creations will surprise you with their stunning beauty and distinctive flair.

Sylvie also has this to say:
”I collaborate with a company that creates and manufactures lace: the Jean Bracq establishments. They provide me with everything I need and in exchange I obviously quote them when I use their products.
Lace offers a wide variety of aspects and this makes it very interesting: from the finest to the most opaque, it can be used as a paint palette. As I am a passionate person, I like all the challenges and especially using materials that in principle we do not use on dresses.”
Sylvie’s designs are significantly different from many other creations on the fashion market. Her creative process is really astonishing as there's definitely something to love about it.
