When Reddit user u/ScaryConcert5735's roommate moved out of her apartment, he left some of his things behind. After two months had gone by, the OP decided to take matters into her own hands.

What did she do? Well, she shared her story in the AITA (Am I The A**hole?) subreddit recently.

The OP explained that she had been renting out a bedroom in her apartment to "Joe" for around 1.5 years. When Joe decided to move in with his girlfriend, the OP agreed that he could leave some of his collectibles at the apartment for two weeks while he arranged somewhere to store them properly.

However, two weeks went by, and Joe still hadn't collected his things. The OP asked him when he would be picking them up, and he said he would come the following week.

After another two weeks, the OP was starting to get annoyed because she couldn't rent out the room to anyone else with all of Joe's things still in there. So, after two months of asking Joe to pick up his things, the OP decided to take matters into her own hands.

She packed up all the figurines into a box, loaded it into her car, and took it to Joe's new house. She left the box on his doorstep.

Now the OP says she has been getting angry messages from Joe saying that some of his things were broken and she needs to reimburse him. But the OP says she didn't do anything wrong since she gave him plenty of chances to collect the items himself.

Now she's wondering if she's the a**hole here. Keep scrolling to see how people reacted.

What's your take on this situation? Do you think the OP was wrong for moving Joe's things and damaging them, or is Joe at fault since he didn't collect them as previously agreed?
