Woman Sells Her Ex-Fiancé's Expensive Family Heirloom After He Cheated On Her Weeks Before Their Wedding
To be fair, she did it because he won't pay for the wedding costs.

There is literally no excuse to forgive an ex-partner who cheated on you, and this kind of behavior should not even be normalized anymore in the 21st century. Unfortunately, there are still a lot of people who remain unfaithful to their significant other, and would gladly sacrifice their relationship for a sneaky third party instead.
Cheating will never be okay, and once someone finds out, the relationship should automatically be cut—no excuses. It does not only sever your ties with that person, but it also leaves you an empty, wandering mind, and a broken heart that asks: Where did I go wrong?
However, most of the time, revenge is the best payback for these cheaters. And most of the time, they bring the karma to themselves, right in their faces.
That's what happened to this woman's ex-fiancé—ex because he was caught cheating by a mutual friend just weeks before their wedding. Naturally, the wedding got canceled, but the woman was left with not only a broken heart but the debt of their wedding costs that amounted to more or less $20,000.l
Everything has been booked already, and everything is mostly non-refundable. If the costs won't be paid, the woman will be left in debt, unless her ex would help her cover the costs (it was still going to be his wedding, after all).
However, things took a different turn when the man refused to help pay the costs so she did what she had to do: bribed him to help her pay or she will sell the family heirloom ring he used to propose to her so that their debts would be paid.
Check out the highlights of her thread on Reddit below.
She posted it under the r/AITA subreddit and got several mixed reactions.

RedditEverything was already booked. Unfortunately, they were also mostly non-refundable.
RedditShe took out a loan to cover the wedding costs and she expected she would be able to pay it off once they share finances after they get married.
RedditBut things went down the drain because he cheated weeks before their wedding.
RedditHe refused to help pay the bills.
RedditHe wanted the ring back, which was a family heirloom worth $25,000.
RedditBut the woman got out the reverse card and used it to her advantage.
RedditHe thought she wouldn't actually do it so he kept ignoring her messages.
RedditHere's the deal.
RedditThe next day, she actually sold the ring. She told him that she shouldn't have underestimated her.
RedditAs expected, the man reacted harshly and cussed her out. He demanded the ring back, but the woman got the proof of purchase already.
RedditHe then proceeded to tell her some pretty mean things.
RedditDo you think she's the asshole in this story?
RedditThis one says she isn't. To be fair, she did give him a choice and a chance.
RedditThis commentor also agrees that OP is not the asshole. Let's face it, that wouldn't even happen to him if he wasn't a cheating scumbag in the first place.
RedditNTA but she got some bad money management.
RedditMoral lesson: NEVER cheat.
RedditHoping things won't take a wrong turn now...
RedditThey both suck, as concluded by this user.
RedditTo be fair, she did ask him beforehand to help him cover part of the costs.
RedditHowever, she may end up needing a lawyer.
RedditDouble oops.
RedditUmm, he cheated. She didn't just cancel the wedding for no reason.
RedditRelationships, marriage, engagements—everything is messy in the adult world, especially when cheating is still involved. Love, anger, and betrayal can make people do some pretty stupid things, but most of the time, their feelings are valid.
