Disney's 'Encanto' seemingly took the Internet world by storm in November 2021—yet another excellent animated film by the studio that revolves around a family called The Madrigals, with the setting established in the Colombian mountains. We know Disney has never been the one to disappoint, but it was definitely still intriguing to watch this one because the theme wasn't all just lovey-dovey; which is why a lot of people, especially adults have come to love it.

The film's use of bright and glorious colors, as well as the exemplary animation, was definitely a delight for the kids, but the storyline and the lessons truly hit home when you watch it as an adult. Many people, even the middle-aged ones already, have found themselves falling into the abyss of Encanto because they noticed a lot of parallels between the Madrigals' familial problems and their own family in real life.

Isabela's storyline of being expected to be perfect and presentable all the time as well as Luisa's struggles of being always the one who has to be strong has led a lot of first-born daughters to relate to the songs "Surface Pressure" and "What Else Can I Do?"; while many others have found themselves relating more to Mirabel because they "don't have anything special about them" so their families just try to whisk them away. Either way, it's safe to say that 'Encanto' has shed light on a lot of toxic generational family problems that have led Millenials and Generation Z to express their own struggles online.

Add to that, the film is packed with an excellent soundtrack courtesy of no other than Lin-Manuel Miranda, so it's no wonder that 'Encanto' has been stuck on our minds (and our kids') ever since it came out. It gave us some bops, especially "We Don't Talk About Bruno," which hit the No.1 spot in the Billboard Top 200.
