Rumors Circulating Suggest That Disney's Elsa May Be Getting A Girlfriend In Frozen 2 And The Internet Is Ready
This would be the cutest thing ever.
Disney is famous for its iconic animated movies. One of these that blew up in recent years is Frozen. I'm sure everyone by now has seen the movie (if you haven't- definitely do). Alongside this movie, there has been a push for more LGBT characters in Disney movies.
Notably, the first one was in the recent Beauty and the Beast remake starring Emma Watson- where's Gaston's sidekick, Lefou, was gay.
Now, people are pushing for the main character of Frozen, Elsa, to have a girlfriend, and the movie's co-director Jennifer Lee has actually mentioned the idea.
The idea started after the most popular song from the first movie, "Let It Go," sounded like a coming out song for Elsa. Soon after that realization, the hashtag #GiveElsaAGirlfriend started to trend on Twitter.

Even Idina Menzel, who voiced Elsa in the first movie, has been in support of the idea. She told Entertainment Tonight: "I think it's great."
In an interview with the Huffington Post, when asked about it, Frozen director Jennifer Lee said:
“I love everything people are saying and people are thinking about with our film ― that it’s creating dialogue, that Elsa is this wonderful character that speaks to so many people. Where we’re going with it, we have tons of conversations about it, and we’re really conscientious about these things. For me ... Elsa’s every day telling me where she needs to go, and she’ll continue to tell us...We’ll see where we go.”

I think everyone, especailly after reading this, will ahev their fingers crossed that Elsa gets a girlfriend in Frozen 2.
