Barbie is quite literally iconic. As a children's toy she has existed through multiple generations and as a fashion icon she has managed to practically reign supreme. If you doubt her relevancy in the fashion industry then consider this: over a whopping 70 couture designers from around the entire world have designed clothes for Barbie. These world renowned designers include Versace, Armani, and even Gucci. Australian jeweler Stefano Canturi even made diamond jewelry for Barbie valued at $600,000.
On top of inspiring designers everywhere, Barbie inspires artists. The last few years we have watched in awe and amazement as artists have transformed the dolls into works of art and perfection and it's always incredible to see. Today is no exception. Artist Mark Jonathan is delighting his fans by turning Barbie dolls into contestants from Ru Paul's television series: Drag Race, a reality competition centered on drag queens.

When you usually hear the expressions "coming out of the closet" you immediately think of a non-straight person coming out as either a homosexual, bisexual or something else, and it's usually a huge deal since in today's society a lot of people are still pretty closed minded about sexual orientations.
