Woman Tweets About The Heartbreaking Story Of Her Classmate’s Domestic Abuse Experience

Sometimes in life, we may come across people who are the victims of domestic abuse in their relationships. We may find ourselves asking the question, "Why don't you just leave?"

But it's important to remember, whether that abuse is physical, or emotional, it can be extremely difficult for people to leave those situations out of fear for their safety. Often people will stay in a dangerous situation, not because they want to, but because they feel they have no other option.

Twitter user, Erica Buddington, shared the story of one of her old classmates, who was one such victim of abuse.

Erica shared the story about her friend, Kelis, to her Twitter.

She went out of her way to help Kelis.

But her boyfriend wouldn't stop trying to find her.

And eventually, he found them.

He was trying desperately to gain back control.

She was terrified of him, but she wasn't weak.
