There were two dogs guarding the old woman and this is a perfect example of dogs’ unwavering loyalty
One reason why dogs remain so loyal is due to the fact that they are pack creatures. Before domesticated dogs, their earliest wolf predecessors used to move in packs.
The stronger wolves had the job of protecting the cubs, females, and the most vulnerable in their packs. That characteristic was passed down to these domestic dogs, and so, the dogs who were guarding this old woman could have regarded her as a part of their pack.
There are plenty of other reasons why dogs guard their human owners
There are so many different reasons canines watch their human owners. When you pat, feed, and play with your pets on a regular basis, these dogs won’t see you as a threat, and they will reciprocate that generosity by protecting you.
Dogs are faithful and loyal to the very end, and there’s no question about that. This story alone is enough proof.
