It's a truth that dogs delight us, no matter how peculiar they may be. It's not unusual for people to have some strange, quirky physical features, goofy eve, long nose, crooked lip. But very often its what gives them character, and even charisma.
It's like that with animals too, especially dogs like this. A Borzoi Wolfhound named Eris might even be the best example.
It is impossible not to notice the dog's extremely long snout. It is 12.2 inches long, and her owners think their dog may hold a world record for snout length.
They are even inviting experts to measure their dog's snout! Frankly, it doesn't matter if she holds a world record for snout length or not- this Borzoi Wolfhound Dog is undoubtedly a contender for the world's most charming dog.
eriszoiLilly and Savannah, a couple from Richmond, adopted her when she was just a puppy, back in July 2018. She recently celebrated her second birthday, and her 179k followers on Instagram were sharing the joy with her owners. They have created the account more as a scrapbook and had no idea it would become so popular.
“We were always hoping to share some of the happiness and smiles Eris brings into our house, and in these last few months, it’s felt more impactful than ever. We’re so glad to be able to add a little tiny moment of light to all of the goodness shining through the world,” they said.
The exotic Borzoi dog breed originates in 17th-century Russia. It was a dog for aristocracy because, besides their interesting appearance, they have good hunting skills. The aristocracy simply adored organizing large hunting parties. Soon, the dog whose breed name -Borzoi literally translates as fast, became indispensable.
They are also known as Russian wolfhounds, or “walking clouds.” The breed is athletic and independent, reaching 26-30 inches in height and weight up to 100 lbs. They are fast, but also quiet and rarely bark. Despite their size and energetic character, they can easily adapt to suburban life.
