Karens are taking over everything - even dog parks. Be careful, people

Dog owners have divided opinions on dog parks. Some love them; others hate them.
And we somehow believe that it's not because of the dogs but because of the owners. Take a look at this story, and you will see what we mean.
OP took their dog to the park. Since she's relatively young and struggles with some polish on her obedience, they bring some treats to reward her for good behavior.
The OP is always careful to keep only a few tiny, dry treats and make sure they're secured close to them in a zippered pocket. They never offer them in front of other dogs.
Basically, OP is doing everything by the book here. They are trying to be as discreet, minimal, and safe as possible.
And it all worked just fine up until a few days ago when they encountered dog park Karen, whose job seems to be saving poor dogs from the torture of smells. A woman's senior Aussie who had been lying down a couple of feet away for a while walked up to OP to greet them but then bit onto their pocket and started tugging.
The older woman asked if OP had anything in their pockets and started yelling when she heard the answer.
"This dog is on PREDNISONE. Do you know the kind of torture you're inflicting on all the other dogs here? It's just plain awful for them. Look. These dogs aren't having a good time at the park as they should be; instead, they're being tortured. You've ruined the best part of their lives, bringing all that in here."
OP took it pretty hard (guess it's their first time facing Karens) and wonders if they've done something wrong.
OP took their dog to the dog park. They had some carefully selected dog treats. To prevent any incidents, they kept them in a zippered pocket.
RedditOP never had any problems because of that. Until that day.
RedditKaren started accusing OP of torturing all dogs in the park and ruining the best parts of their lives.
RedditOf course, none of the dogs paid attention to OP, and they were all happily running around. It was all in Karen's head.
RedditRedditors pointed out that this Karen is not only entitled - but also pretty ignorant (as all Karens are)
RedditPeople don't take dogs on Prednisone to parks
RedditBesides making them more susceptible to illnesses, Prednisone makes dogs incredibly hungry.
RedditIt also makes dogs (and humans) a bit temperamental.
RedditSome grey areas here- but this doesn't make Karen less of a Karen
RedditYes, some people just adore causing pain by having treats...
RedditJust imagine the torture of passing a restaurant... Worse than waterboarding
RedditRedditors say that OP has nothing to be shamed about
RedditThis is true... People are actually torturing other people by having human snacks with them
RedditSad, but true:
RedditBut only because this is true:
RedditKarens are everywhere. It is impossible to avoid them.
This one somehow sensed an inexperienced dog owner and decided they were going to be her next target. It is highly unlikely she would do the same to a seasoned dog owner. Unfortunately, her ridiculous statement and aggressive approach shook OP.
Some people really shouldn’t be allowed in dog parks.
