Dog Missing For Six Years Found In Woods, But Family Doesn't Want Her Back

Dog sneaks out of her home and walks to his owner's workplace.
For the past year and a half, Liza Thayer's adorable dog Indy has been her chaperon to work. She works in an assisted living facility in Connecticut, that's also become a second home for the pup.
Indy loves hanging out at the facility with the staff and residents who always welcome her with open hands. Everyone at the facility loves Indy and it's great for the residents to have such an adorable visitor.
Indy has slowly become a very important part of the facility. Liza and Indy were a wonderful duo and it was weird to see them separated. One day, they proved just how true that is.
Thayer decided to take a day off from work so she could attend a friend's wedding. She entrusted her dad to look after Indy while she's away.
It was a change to the usual routine but no one told Indy about it. Apparently, the clever dog just assumed Thayer had forgotten to bring her to work that day.
She took matters into her own paws and found her way over to the workplace all by herself.
Knowing that Thayer wasn't there, the staff and residents were definitely surprised to see the unexpected guest. They called up Thayer to tell her about her dog's failed surprise attempt.
Thayer couldn't believe Indy decided to do that.
They were happy to let her in and spoil her with her favorite treats. Either way, Indy's trip was worth the effort.
After enjoying herself at the facility, Indy was given a ride home by Thayer's boss. By that time, Thayer's dad noticed Indy was gone and started looking for her, so finding out she was safe was great news.
Thayer and Indy were together once again after she returned from the wedding. The reunion was definitely made more special considering what Indy went through to surprise her.
Indy must have really missed her owner.
