Dogs are great at adapting verbal cues from humans, we teach them to sit, stay, and roll over and they'd all do it with a smile. Some even go beyond and become great service dogs, breaking barriers of how to be the best companions to humans by communicating their thoughts through actions.

Other than being companions, dogs can actually let you know that they love you or whenever they're scared in various ways instead of just barking. They can simply lean on you, which is our way of hugging, or have their tail between their legs as if to say they're fearful.

Dogs can also communicate using actions they usually do with their pack, which is natural for them. And if they see you as part of theirs, they'll make sure to show you.
