Dog Napping Backstage Wakes Up And Joins The Band's Musical Encore
“He was very expressive, and would sing softly as well as howl.”

Animals enjoy music too, even though we sometimes believe it is a purely human thing. The story you will read below is the best proof.
More than everything else, Jack the dog adored singing. Throughout his life, the devoted rescue dog had screamed out tunes on several occasions.
However, one spectacular encore performance stole the show – and the emotions of the audience. Jack spotted an opportunity to jump on a stage after years of singing and roaring during his dad's Bluegrass band sessions and seized it.
“I couldn’t find anyone to watch him during this little weekend tour, so I just brought him along,” Brennan Gilmore, Jack’s dad, said. “His bed was backstage, and I guess someone didn’t shut the green room door after we got called back to play an encore.”
Gilmore said his band had just started playing when the hound mix found his shining moment. “After about a minute, I noticed everybody in the audience pulling out their phones to take pictures,” Gilmore said.
“Then we looked over and saw Jack had found his way out to the stage. He looked at us, looked at the audience, and then let her rip.”

More than everything else, Jack the dog adored singing.

The 12-year-old had always loved to sing, but it was her friendship with Gilmore that has endured long after the loving dog went away. And Gilmore will never forget Jack's appearance on stage in 2016.
“He was very expressive, and would sing softly as well as howl,” Gilmore said. “His spirit is very much alive in the music.”
And he also loved his dad

He always joined in whenever his dad had band practices

But this time - he joined them on stage. You can watch Jack sing with the band here:
Gilmore is now paying tribute to the late Jack — who died of cancer in 2020 — in a unique way. “He was as good a friend as you could have,” Gilmore said.
“I have a guitar with an engraving of him on the headstock, and a few of his ashes inside so he’s always singing when we play.”
“We were each other's closest friend and support,” he added. “Throughout our time together, I came to see Jack's soul as inseparable from mine.”
Sadly, Jack passed away in 2020, so his dad Gilmore decided to pay him a tribute:

Scientists looked into how canines reacted to hearing modern pop music, classical music, and heavy metal in a shelter setting. They discovered that depending on the type of music, they might genuinely appreciate it.
The canines who were exposed to pop music did not appear to react in any way. Heavy metal music elicited barking and irritation, while classical music appeared to be relaxing.
Scientists said, "It is clearly recognized that music can influence our moods." "For instance, classical music can aid to reduce stress levels, but grunge music can enhance hostility, melancholy, tension, and exhaustion."
