It makes sense, and that might be why it's so funny.
In case you haven't noticed, Disney has been on a steady track to take over just about every corner of the multi-media universe right now. In the last decade, Disney has acquired all or part ownership of: Hulu, The Marvel Cinematic Universe, Lucasfilm, ESPN, and 20th Century Fox.
That's a whole lot of the entertainment industry in one major corporation. Not that we're complaining, we love all the Disney we can get.
However, it does make you wonder what the future has in store? At this rate, Disney is kind of on track to rule the entire world? I'm not 100% sure but when Drew Moreland sat down to humorously depict the future, it resonated with an awful lot of people.
Moreland's Disney timeline begins in 1995, when Disney bought ABC, and goes all the way until a dystopian 2100 future.
The recent history.
I mean, we can comfortably assume this is what's next, can't we?
Resistance is futile.
I can hear the "Baby Yoda" chanting.
Powerful as heck.
Master Chief will be my favorite Disney Princess.
Google attempts to escape? Foolish.
Fear breeds compliance, right?
I'm surprised how long Moreland's theory takes for Disney to buy the USA.
Southpark would...
What have we said about resistance?
Disney World Order is looming.
Political prisoners...!?
Mars is going to be busy.
This is too realistic of an ending.
Humanity is predictable.
