Disneyland is considered one of the happiest places on earth, where all your dreams come true and all your favorite characters come to life. It's an empire, and if you've ever had to line up for hours to go on any of the rides you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. But with big corporations come guidelines, and there are specific rules that everyone must follow when you into a park. Here are 24 of the bizarre rules Disneyland have in place just so things keep running in order.
1.
This one is kind of a given. When you're waiting in line for hours how frustrating would it be if someone just cut in front? It's basic theme park etiquette.2.
With the terror threat so prevalent at the moment in most places, it's no surprise that large bags aren't allowed. That and with so many people, you don't want your guests taking up more space than they need.3.
Following the previous rule, taking up unnecessary space is just unwanted. Bring your sextuplets in separate buggies, people.4.
Why would you want to swear around the happiest place on earth? Think of the children and poor Mickey's ears.5.
Going to a theme park is supposed to be a holiday, an escape from reality. Keep your Trump/Hillary affiliations to yourself.6.
You wouldn't want a drone swinging around and hitting some unsuspecting guest in the face, and there are security concerns with drones as well.7.
Photography is encouraged, but commercial photography as well as taking up more than your fair share of space is highly discouraged.8.
The animals don't know whether or not they can eat plastic, and it's a choking hazard. Even deflated balloons aren't allowed.9.
If this one needs to be explained to you, maybe you shouldn't be going to Disneyland.10.
Disneyland offers alcohol in some of the eating venues, and that means drinking can be monitored more closely. No one wants Uncle John going up to a princess and embarrassing himself because he's been drinking too much of his liquid courage.11.
Some park attendees do not understand that feeding gum to the animals might hurt them, so that's why this blanket rule applies.12.
It's a danger to sprint around the park when so many people are around. Excited children do get a pass sometimes it seems, but turns out they are violating an important rule.13.
Not only is your phone most likely going to fly out of your hand, filming on the rides could potentially ruin the experience for other guests.14.
This is kind of a given as well. Smoking is not common practice in this day and age. Other park guests don't want to smell your second-hand smoke.15.
The walkways are like mini highways in Disneyland. They don't want every Dick, Tom, and Harry just chucking up a seat in the middle of the bustle. There are enough seats provided.16.
There are people getting paid to do that job. Children don't know the difference between who's getting paid or not. It's kind of creepy. Don't to it.17.
This is another security concern. Along with also being a little creepy, some guy jumping around in a Mickey Mouse mask wouldn't be able to be ID'd if he did something wrong.18.
There are already a million people trying to get around the park. If it was every man and his dog the chaos would be even worse.19.
If you can't run because it's a hazard, skateboarding is also off the cards. Go somewhere else if you wanna get extreme.20.
Think of the children and have a bit of class.21.
Don't be that guy. If photos are supposed to be taken in an attraction the lighting will be good enough. Don't blind other guests and ruin it for them.22.
Again, think of the children! This is a family venue.23.
In such a busy space, do you really want to risk glass smashing all over the place and shredding up other people's feet? The movies have already been filmed, and this empire doesn't want you encroaching on their hard earned fame and stature. You'll have to build your own set if you're wanting something for your amateur project. You can't show inappropriate tattoos at Disneyland but that didn't stop these people from getting their Disney themed tattoos.
