It's fair to say that many of us grew up watching the Disney channel. We followed the adventures of Hannah Montana, fell in love with the Wizards of Waverley Place, and tried our best to be as cool as Lizzie McGuire.

So it's no surprise that some of our fondest childhood memories involve our favorite Disney stars. But do you ever find yourself wondering whatever happened to some of those stars?

Demi Lovato opened up about her near-fatal overdose in her documentary Dancing With The Devil. And Selena Gomez stunned her fans by sharing her struggles with depression in her film My Mind & Me.

But there are many other former Disney stars who have seemingly disappeared without much of a trace since their days in the spotlight. So, what about them?

Well, Reddit user u/xala123 posted in the r/Fauxmoi subreddit asking, "Anyone have info on old Disney channel stars?" And, as always, the Reddit community didn't disappoint.

From stories about Disney stars growing up to become doctors or dating and marrying fellow Disney alumni to others sadly making bad life decisions and some even passing away, it seems the people of Reddit are in the know when it comes to Disney. Keep scrolling to find out what happened to some of our favorite Disney stars from the 90s and 2000s.

Hilary Duff

Right after The Lizzie McGuire Movie came out in 2003, Hilary Duff was set to do another Lizzie McGuire series for ABC (or ABC Family?) with Lizzie moving on to high school. However, her mom negotiated for more money with Disney, and they balked, so her mom went to Warner Bros, which turned into Hilary getting the lead role in A Cinderella Story.

Disney was apparently pissed her mom went to Warner Bros behind their backs, so they ripped up the plans for any more Lizzie at that time. I'm still bitter the most recent Lizzie McGuire reboot died before it could get off the ground, as a former super fan.

Brandon Baker

Idk if he still is there, but Brandon Baker who played Johnny in Johnny Tsunami was our waiter at a breakfast joint in Colorado in like 2017. Seemed to be living a nice outdoorsy and quiet life out there.

Alyson Stoner

Alyson Stoner who used to be the sister on Mike’s Super Short Show-and was in Camp Rock, Step Up, Missy Elliot videos-had a very hard time as a child star and battled an eating disorder.

Like a few years back I know she did a Missy Elliot tribute video that was supposed to be her comeback to adult stardom but something happened, she disappeared, came back to dance with Missy Elliot at the VMAs for Vanguard Award, came out as queer, wrote a book and she’s a motivational speaker now or something on TikTok.

She occasionally seems a little thirsty but overall is clearly trying to work through trauma.

Amanda Bynes

When I think of 90s child stars my mind goes to Amanda Bynes. You could tell that she had a rough time as a child actor. She has had it bad, if not worst than Brittany Spears. I honestly hope Amanda is doing okay now.

Rondell Sheridan

Rondell Sheridan (Dad from That’s So Raven) was doing comedy shows on cruise ships a few years back. We saw him on the Royal Caribbean and his show was absolutely one of the funniest comedy shows I’ve ever seen. He has us (and the entire audience) in tears from laughing so hard.

Paul Butcher

Not really tea but Paul Butcher from Zoey 101 (her little brother) has a million TikTok followers and posts a lot of hyper-sexual videos and it’s super weird to me bc in my mind he’s the dorky little child forever.

Tiffany Thornton

I didn’t see it mentioned, but does anyone remember when Tiffany Thornton (So Random, Sonny With A Chance) was accused of kidnapping her own kids by her late husband, when she was really just escaping his alcoholic erratic behavior?
