Disney movies are fantastic. Whether we are taking a trip down memory lane while watching the classics or enjoying the new high-tech masterpiece in 3D, they are remarkable. And the thing that makes them that way are the characters. We grow with them throughout the movies, and they become more than just characters on the screen.
Paula Franco, an artist from Argentina, is also a huge Disney fan. She recreates famous female characters in a way that brings them new life and enables us to see them in a different light. Here, we are showcasing 15 of her best illustrations, but there are plenty more on her social network accounts.

Paula FrancoWhen asked to tell us a bit about herself, Paula said:
“I studied Illustration & Graphic Design. After graduating, I lived in the Republic of San Marino for two years, where I worked as an illustrator and graphic designer until I decided to follow my true passion, children’s book illustration.
I signed with my agent in 2011 and have worked with many wonderful publishers in the United States, Europe, and South America ever since. My work has been featured in the New York Times Children’s Best Seller list and has been awarded a Kirkus Star and a School Library Journal Star.
I work from my studio office at home alongside my four lovely mixed-breed rescue dogs. They are my noisy office assistants!”
