He’s got the ideas to start with and the talent to make them into reality
Disney characters have been subjects of artists for a long time. There are a lot of coloring books that kids spend their time coloring outside the line of and artists who use their references for practice.
There’s a whole universe of them, even a multi-universe present but Disney princesses have a special place in artists’ hearts. They have been around for a long time and are ever-growing.
Disney princesses have previously existed as characters who needed the saving of their prince charming. They possess pleasantly musical voices and have animals as standard companions.
But slowly, Disney has made the modern princesses be self-reliant, strong, and the hero of the story. That doesn’t mean that we should turn a blind eye to what characters like Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty contributed.
No matter what era they come from, they have been pretty much reimagined by artists into different worlds. From princesses in an apocalyptic world to a universe where the roles are reversed and they’re the villains, it’s all interesting to see.
An artist who posted in Deviant Art named Joel DuQue has shared Disney princess reimagined as Elementals. We have an example of one in an actual Disney movie which is Elsa, but wouldn’t it be interesting to see how others would appear as?
The artist was contemplating if it would be unoriginal to choose Meg as the dark element but he thinks no one fits it better.
Later on, he decided to give the title of the elemental earth to Princess Jasmine and Kida
The artist is a true fan of the Disney Princesses and made sure to draw them with connections to who they are in the original movies. There were times when he was stuck on what to really make them but he stayed true to what he felt was fitting when he was drawing.
This project was creative and highly interesting. It should have a place in the hall of fame for reimagined Disney art.
