Out of all the art genres out there, Ukiyo-e has to be amongst the greatest. Ukiyo-e is one of Japan's most important genres of traditional art. The direct translation of the name is “the pictures of the floating world” and it illustrates the Japanese woodblock prints that are typical to the 17th-19th centuries.

Considering how tradition eventually manages to fade away, it's always great when artists decided to merge the present and the past by creating remakes.

This time, ukiyo-e is getting a pretty interesting and unusual remake. Artist Ono Tako created a couple of beautiful prints starring Disney and Sailor Moon characters, that you will definitely fall in love with.
